49 Seasons of Freedom is one of the most meaningful paintings I’ve created to date. It captures forty-nine fleeting moments, each square a window framing a sunrise or sunset, each floating veil telling its own story of freedom.
Much like the work of IJM, every release from slavery holds a unique story. Yet, within each, there exists the same sense of liberation and a lightness of being lifted, whether by the hands of humanity or by something more divine.
After attending an event hosted by IJM, I heard a story that gripped my heart and stirred something within me - a call to action. In response, I have chosen to donate 70% of the profits from this painting to support the work of IJM. By giving during The Big Give, that contribution will be doubled, allowing £2,800 to go directly toward their mission to end slavery and bring freedom to those who are still waiting for it.
49 Seasons of Freedom is both a painting, a prayer and a declaration of hope, forgiveness, and the unshakeable belief that freedom is a feeling everyone should feel.
